Harry L. Jamison, Jr. 84, of Sicklerville, NJ, and longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Annamae H. Jamison (née Jakubowski), and his son, Robert Jamison. He is survived by his son, David A. Jamison (April); his daughter, Linda A. Stetler (Daniel); and his cherished grandchildren: David R. Jamison (Kirsten Krechel), Ryan A. Jamison (Anna Heath), Joe Jamison (Angela), Daniel J. Stetler (Savannah Thomason), and Haley R. Stetler. He was a loving Pop, Grandpop, and Gpop to all.
After graduating high school, Harry proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving three years with the 101st Airborne Division—a source of pride he carried throughout his life. He then joined the Philadelphia Fire Department, serving 24 years with fondest memories at Engine 28, Ladder 11. Following his retirement from the fire department, he continued protecting others as a security officer at Jefferson Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia.
Harry loved animals, especially dogs, and was known as “a man of the people,” always putting the safety and well-being of others before his own. To his family, he was simply a hero.
A private memorial gathering will be held by the family at a later date.
